LETTER TO MY EX

Letter to My Ex – Goodbye to Addiction

Dear Addiction,

You were once my escape, my comfort, my everything. You promised me relief, but all you ever gave me was chaos. You whispered lies into my ear, telling me I couldn’t live without you, that you were the only thing keeping me afloat. But now, I see you for what you really are—a thief. You stole my time, my health, my relationships, and my peace.

I’m done with you. I’m done with the sleepless nights, the endless cravings, and the way you made me feel like I was less than human. You don’t own me anymore. I’m reclaiming my life, my joy, and my future.

This isn’t just goodbye—it’s stay gone. I’m throwing you out the window of truth, along with all the pain and regret you brought into my life. I’m choosing healing, strength, and freedom.

You’ll try to come back, I know you will. You’ll try to tempt me with your false promises, but I’m stronger now. I have a community, a purpose, and a reason to keep moving forward.

So here’s to the new me—the one who doesn’t need you anymore. Goodbye, addiction. You’re not welcome here.

Sincerely,
Someone Who’s Finally Free

Why This Letter Matters

Writing a letter to your addiction is more than just words—it’s a declaration of freedom. It’s about facing the truth, letting go of the past, and stepping into a future where you’re in control.

At Straightforward Media, we believe in the power of storytelling and self-expression. Whether it’s through music therapy, live discussions, or letters like this one, healing starts with honesty.

Testimonial – Peter Dela’s Story

“I was stuck in the cycle—jail, addiction, repeat. Then I heard about Recover Me, straight from the inside. I gave it a shot, followed the system, and it kept me out of jail, sober, and back on track. Today, I’m a parent again. This system didn’t just help me recover—it gave me my life back.”

Recovery is about more than quitting—it’s about building something worth staying clean for.
